  • To mark the year anniversary of the album Matter, the album is being re-released with an additional album map and listening guide.
The map represents the internal journey carried out throughout the span of the record, despite the entirety of the action being located in a single room. The added listening guide presents two contrasting breakdowns of the writing/listening experience - one is carefully considered and rational, the other impulsive and emotional.
The guide was written by The Line but the stunning artwork and design was the work of Lia Wright.
The album map comes in the form of an A3 poster on recycled paper and the listening is a small A5 booklet, also printed on recycled paper.

about

The end of every story is just another beginning. This is the Epilogue to Anti-Matter. It is the beginning of another story.

lyrics

I can't bear to be so close to you anymore
Separated by walls and clothes and closed doors
I can't believe in a God who won't believe in me
When I pray I pray for someone else
For all I ask, I never ask for help
What help I give, I just can't help myself

Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
It doesn't burn me but your light puts me to shame
And I've no-one else to blame
Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
You're not playing but your still part of the game
You don't even know my aim

I can't bear to see pictures of you anymore
Pixelated but not quite obscured
I can't believe in a life lived through an lcd screen
We're so connected I see everything you eat
But I can't share things that mean that much to me

Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
It doesn't burn me but your light puts me to shame
And I've no-one else to blame
Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
You're not playing but your still part of the game
You don't even know my aim

I can't bear to be so close to you anymore
I can't bear to be so close to you anymore
I can't bear to be so close to you anymore
I can't bear to be so close to you anymore
But I can't keep away

Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
It doesn't burn me but your light puts me to shame
And I've no-one else to blame
Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
You're not playing but your still part of the game
You don't even know my aim

Like a moth to a flame, I come back again
It doesn't burn me but your light puts me to shame
And I've no-one else to blame

The Line is the pseudonym of Brian Dillon, musician, sound artist and Irishman. Brian is originally from a small town in rural Ireland and he has never quite been able to escape the lines of identity that separate his life from the lives of others.
